Day Two: Mellier.
We made it to Mellier. It’s so wonderful to see old friends for some of us, and make new friends for others. The people overflow with gratitude for life. This trip Anoni (the girl from our first trip who was so sick) walked right up to Pastor Molly the first time she saw her even with a smile. She talks and laughs and jump ropes like a maniac. The transformation is quite miraculous.
We set up our “camp” and went to see some of the new church neighbors across the field. It’s pretty cool we have visited so much we notice new construction. It’s an orphanage that opened in February and now has 13 children. The young couple running the place were so hospitable. We’re looking forward to a day at the beach tomorrow.
